Smash away on this razor. I bought this based on favorable reviews posted here. It lasted two weeks then the linkage from the cutter head to the motor destroyed itself. Now where did I put my hammer.

I'm not giving this product five stars because with my tough beard, it takes a few minutes using this razor to shave. But it does an effective job of shaving my beard's growth. It just takes a while to do so. For that reason, I'm rating it four stars and not five. But for most men, this product should work as well as any power (electricity, battery, or rechargable) razor out there.

Shaver works fine, but it's definitely NOT free. They charge $8.99 to ship this item, but as it turns out the actual mailing cost was only about $2.00. That works out to be about a $7.00 profit.

I have been using this shaver for several months. The shaver runs on AA batteries and rechargeable are fine. The closeness of the shave when using shaving cream is very good and does not burn the skin when compared to a razor. Give the shaver a few days to get a smooth close shave. One note when cleaning: As recommended by Panasonic, clean the cutter blades with water and sanitize with hand soap. In addition, use a wash cloth to completely clean the cutter blades. Works like a charm.

Another great thing about the Panasonic ES3830 Single Foil Wet/Dry Shaver is that you can get it by just paying the shipping fee. It is a 20$ value, but Panasonic is giving it away at no cost as long as you shoulder the shipping charges. It is definitely a great way to test the quality of their product as well replacing your old razors.
